how does ink formulation work?
Our ink supply and service are provided by INX, a professional implant service. The INX team provides all ink product inventory, color mixing, matching, supply, color matching, and quality control as a seamless turn-key service to our customers.
Photo spectrometers and scanning equipment ensure ink color will remain consistent and accurate throughout a press run. Proofs along with ink draw-downs are used to check color matching.
Once a color is matched, the ink specifications are recorded and tracked via proprietary ink density and formulation software. That way, you always get a perfect color match on future orders, and the ink is never out of stock. Brand integrity is managed across all print mediums and proofing.
what type of ink does Castle Pierce use?
There are a variety of inks to ensure you get the exact finish and look you want for your packaging.
For flexographic and lithographic printing, there are water-based, solvent-based, and energy-curable inks (ultraviolet, electron beam, and LED) that work with multiple print applications. These inks are designed to be as cost-effective as possible, cure quickly, and have minimal odor.
There are also a variety of natural and sustainable ink options available to help reduce your carbon footprint and impact on the environment. INXhrc™ high-performance, natural-based ink is an eco-friendly, biorenewable ink that’s suitable for flexographic printing, offset printing, and other applications.
