how does the folding & gluing process work?
Folding services can include a variety of folding techniques, including accordion folds, gate folds, roll folds, and more. It’s ideal for boxes, sleeves, packaging inserts, and print products.
The first step in the folding and gluing process is to score the material to create a crease along the intended fold line.
Once the material has been scored, it is fed through a folding machine or folding/gluing machine. Based on the packaging design, the machine is programmed to fold in a specific sequence.
After the material has been folded, it may be secured using adhesive or other fasteners. The adhesive can be applied in a variety of ways, depending on the type of material and the design of the packaging component. Generally, the material is then held in place until the adhesive sets via heat and pressure.
